After Hair Transplant Procedure – Scalp Bumps, Folliculitis, Redness

During Thanksgiving, I met up with a former coworker from ages ago and he let me in on the fact he had a hair restoration procedure done in Los Angeles.

He asked about a minor post-surgical matter. this coworker of mine was experiencing minor pain and tenderness on the recipient transplant areas like his hairline and crown.

In addition, he saw what looked like red pimples and scalp bumps in the same area as well.

He asked me, am I supposed to be on antibiotics? will this hinder hair growth in a timely manner?

Inflamed hair follicles, or folliculitis, especially of the hair, is considered normal in many patients and may be seen a few days after hair transplant surgery. In some cases, folliculitis may re-occur for as long as a few months after surgery as well.

Antibiotics do not need to be taken unless the lesions do not get better on their own, or if cellulitis (infection and inflammation of the tissues beneath the skin), or skin redness and swelling become evident due to infection. this is considered rare on the scalp but still notable.

Also, another sticking point is that, folliculitis does not pose an issue to the growth of transplanted hair and, in most cases, does not require any special treatment. the lesions usually open on their own but if they persist for more than two to three weeks, I suggest the person to revisit their hair transplant surgeon and have him open and drain the lesions.

SKII Skin Signature, Clinique SuperMoisture and Clinique Perfectly Real. All suit me well since I am Chinese (thus yellow).

For your reference, I have very fair skin with cool tone (pinkish). There are plenty reviews of Teint Miracle online, I read some of them has shade issue, even a fair skinned lady found BO-01 too yellow for her. So I guess this BO-01 looked natural for me partly because it neutralized my skin redness (due to sensitive skin). Many foundations I have (also recommended by SA) are pinkish tone actually.

Just my friendly suggestion, try and see at Lancome counter in your country, if none of them matches your skin perfectly, then only consider online option. Trust your own judgement too, after all you are the one who wear the foundation. ("v)]]>

The State Senate hasn't moved on the idea but the House does offer internet streaming. Probably not of committee meetings though.I wish, especially with all of the television and internet infrastructure already in place, that we can open our government in that direction and the school boards too.]]>
