My hairline started receding when I was 15 years old. I am now 16 years old. my father has horse shoe baldness and I believe I am starting to get the same thing. I recently started using Minoxidil 5% because I am desperate to grow some hair back.
How do I know if it is working? when will I see some hair growing in my temples? can you recommend any other over the counter treatment for my problem?
If your hair is receding and you know from your Dad's baldness that you're facing that sort of genetics, see a doctor and be sure you're doing the right things the right way to keep as much of your hair as you can for as long as you can. I wouldn't fool around with over the counter stuff and wondering if you are doing the right thing, and whether you are getting the results you should expect. I don't know if a general practitioner would be best, or perhaps a dermatologist. Another question on here about who to go to for trying to arrest your hair loss would get you that answer.
